For legal firms hiring new employees, Thomas International provides the psychometric tests, assessments and assessment centres that help employers to make informed hiring decisions. Thomas International has two types of aptitude tests: Thomas Skills and Thomas Psychometric Tests; Thomas Skills is about drawing out people’s abilities, whereas The Thomas Psychometric Tests measure general intelligence.
Thomas PPA - A personality assessment that measures your reactions to common events or challenges. This helps employers to see what your working style is likely to be.
Thomas THEIQue - This test measures emotional intelligence and is helpful for employers looking to create a balanced and productive workplace. It takes around 20-25 minutes to work through.
PPA - A personal profile analysis to give an indication of how you behave at work. Employers will be able to learn more about your strengths, weaknesses, communication style, motivations and overall value to the business.
GIA - This is about ‘mental horsepower’ and how quickly you learn and retain information. Questions are built into these five sections:
Reasoning test - very similar to a verbal reasoning test.
Perceptual speed test - designed to see how well you interpret data inaccuracies.
Number and speed accuracy assessment - very similar to a numerical reasoning test, this measures an individual’s ability to interpret and analyse data.
Word meaning - an assessment of your vocabulary.
Spatial visualisation - mentally manipulating two and three dimensional shapes.
